Question 1

Which news site has the fastest Core Web Vitals?

Accepted Answer

theguardian.com ranks #1 by LCP at 925ms. Ranking includes 10 sites in this industry. Source: Google CrUX p75 field data (28-day trailing window).

Question 2

How many news sites have "good" LCP?

Accepted Answer

8 of 10 sites with CrUX data meet Google's "good" LCP threshold of 2,500ms or less. Of 10 total sites tracked, 0 have insufficient data (too small for CrUX anonymization).

Question 3

Which news site is slowest?

Accepted Answer

apnews.com ranks last by LCP among the 10 sites with sufficient data at 2862ms LCP. Slow LCP indicates main-content render delays; common causes include large images, render-blocking JS, slow server response.

Question 4

How is this news ranking calculated?

Accepted Answer

Ranking is by LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) ascending — fastest first. LCP is one of three Core Web Vitals Google uses as a ranking signal. All measurements are p75 from Google CrUX, real Chrome user field data, 28-day trailing window. Sites without enough data appear last.
